National Reconciliation Week is celebrated across Australia each year between 27 May and 3 June. The dates commemorate two significant milestones in the reconciliation journey - the anniversaries of the successful 1967 referendum and the High Court Mabo decision.

Northern Rivers screenwriter Jon Bell (The Gods of Wheat Street, Redfern Now) has today launched the Northern NSW Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Screenwriters Workshop in Lismore, NSW, and talked about increasing opportunities in the screen industry for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander storytellers.
