01 Oct 13 | Angelina Jolie to produce Unbroken in NSW

Angelina Jolie is to direct her film Unbroken in NSW, Deputy Premier and Minister for Trade & Investment Andrew Stoner has announced. Mr Stoner said that the production will film in NSW, with scenes to be shot in both Sydney and regional NSW.

01 Oct 13 | Soundtrack of the World competes for ARTE International Prize

Screen NSW congratulates the team behind Soundtrack of the World which has been selected as one of eight projects worldwide to compete for the ARTE International Prize at Power to the Pixel, part of the British Film Institute (BFI) London Film Festival in October. It is the only Australian project selected to compete.

The inaugural Travelling Film Festival Mid North Coast opens with the new Australian crime drama Mystery Road, which had its world premiere on Opening Night of this year’s Sydney Film Festival. In his new film, director Ivan Sen (Toomelah; Beneath Clouds) uses the conventions of the Western and the police procedural in a subtle examination of the social and political context of a small outback town. The film, introduced by the filmmakers, will be followed by post- screening complimentary drinks.
