Aurora is Screen NSW's premium feature film development program. Since its inception in 2002, Aurora has attracted acclaimed Australian and international filmmakers as advisors and participants in the program, and has identified major new Australian filmmaking talent.

 Aurora consists of two high-level workshops with a funded script development period between them.

 45 projects have participated in the Aurora program in the past 11 years with eight having entered production. High-profile films including, Animal Kingdom, The Black Balloon, Somersault, Wish You Were Here and Little Fish were developed through Aurora.

Applications for the next Aurora round are open now, and will close on 21 September 2012.

This year Aurora is open to projects at both draft and treatment stage.
