12 Jan 12 | Screen NSW Board Member Re-appointed

Minister for the Arts, George Souris, has today announced the re-appointment of Patricia Heaton for a further three years to the Board of Screen NSW (formerly NSW Film and Television Office), following approval by the Governor this week.

Ms Heaton re-joins a seven-person Board which includes Chairperson Helen Wright, Geoffrey Atherden AM, Rosemary Blight, Darren Dale, Sue Murray and Ken Reid.

“I am pleased to have reappointed Ms Heaton who brings with her a wealth of experience in film and television over three decades.” Mr Souris said.

“The Government of NSW places a great deal of importance in the film and television industry which brings hundreds of millions of dollars into the State’s economy and provides thousands of jobs.

Patricia Heaton: Member of the FTO Board since 2009. Ms Heaton has over 30 years experience in the film and television industry in various roles, including as a writer, producer, director, location manager and Board member. Chief Executive Officer of Ausfilm (from 2000-2005), an incorporated association marketing and promoting Australia as a destination for high end film, television and digital post production. Ausfilm Board Member (1998-99). Expertise includes international and inbound production attraction, business acumen & strong stakeholder networks. Currently Director of The Heaton Group (apartment development). Graduate of the Australian Film Television and Radio School.
