Screen NSW has today opened its 2012/13 Industry Development Fund Round, with the deadline of 5pm Friday, 4 May 2012.

The Industry Development Fund provides grants to organisations that create professional development opportunities for NSW screen practitioners at various stages of their careers.

Screen related activity in NSW that has been undertaken across other areas of government will be managed by Screen NSW from 2012/13, leading to consolidation of some programs in future years. As a result, funding through the Industry Development Fund will only be provided for the 2012/13 year and not for multi-years as previously offered. The Single Project and Multi Purpose/Multi-Year funding guidelines and application forms have been consolidated. Multi-year funding will be offered again in future years.

Funding is provided for the following activities:

• One-off or annual events including seminars, conferences, workshops, professional mentorships and national awards events(single-project funding).
• A complex program of professional development activities that enhances the NSW screen “eco-system” (multi-purpose funding).
