The Screen NSW Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)The Screen NSW Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)
Screen NSW is committed to playing its part in closing the gap between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and their fellow Australians. We believe that the accurate representation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders in the screen industry and in screen productions will enrich lives and our community. Reconciliation builds our knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, history and peoples.
The Screen NSW RAP was launched in 2011. It has been developing since 2008 when Screen NSW began a strategic review of its activities in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander screen practitioners and industry. The Screen NSW RAP incorporates many of the thoughts collected over this period and is a plan that will continually evolve to ensure that we remain relevant and responsive in a changing screen industry landscape
