Interview with Anna Serner - making gender equality a reality in the screen industry
Chief Executive of the Swedish Film Institute Anna Serner has insisted on equal gender funding in all productions and led the Swedish screen industry to hit its target for 50:50 gender equity in film production in record time.
Claudia Pickering’s directorial debut feature Frisky, which Pickering also wrote, produced and starred in, was shot for $5K and has turned into ‘the little film that could’ since its US release in March. Pickering’s talent really hit the spotlight when her sales agent secured a deal with revered Gravitas Ventures. Following a highly successful AiF (Australian In Film) screening, things exploded for this first time Director who has teamed up with Jungle to develop a TV series of the same concept.
