Film Festival Fund

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The Film Festival Program supports public screenings, festivals and tours that provide opportunities for audiences across Sydney, Western Sydney, and South-Western Sydney to see and experience quality screen content.

Funding will support one-off or annual screening events including those in single or multiple venues including independent and commercial cinemas, and outdoor screenings where possible, to ensure that film festivals are accessible to as many communities.

Funding is generally not offered above $30,000. Please note that funding above $30,000 may be considered for a program of activities or in exceptional circumstances.

Purpose and objective

The purpose of the Program is to accelerate the economic and social recovery of Central Business Districts (CBDs) across Sydney, Western Sydney and South Western Sydney.

To achieve this, the Program will provide targeted support for public screening and film festivals to attract people back to CBDs and increase their connectedness and engagement with these locations.
