With 22 wins, the NSW screen industry owned the 2019 AACTA Awards

Screen NSW supported Lambs of God, The King, Judy & Punch, Total Control and The Letdown were among the NSW-made projects that stole the show at the 2019 AACTA Awards.

 

Leading the 2019 AACTA Awards season, Lambs of God won a total of nine awards, including Best Cinematography in Television and Best Direction in a Television Drama or Comedy.

 

Total ControlThe Letdown and Lambs of God owned the television categories, receiving 14 awards including Best Drama Series for Total Control and Best Comedy Program for The Letdown.

 

Other winning productions supported by Screen NSW included the feature films Judy & Punch, The King and Buoyancy and television drama series Fighting Season.

 

Demonstrating the strength of the local industry, NSW produced feature films, television programs, documentaries, and short forms received an overall total of 103 nominations across 44 categories with 20 Screen NSW-supported projects competing for top honours across 71 awards.

 

Deborah Mailman received the AACTA Award for Best Lead Actress in a Television Drama and Rachel Griffiths won the Best Guest or Supporting Actress in a Television Drama for their performances in Total Control and Damon Harriman received the AACTA Award for Best Lead Actor for Judy & Punch. The AACTA Award for Best Performance in a Television Comedy went to Alison Bell for The Letdown.
